WEEK 5 JOURNAL ENTRY –In the Groove
I feel like I’m finally in a good groove with the Eat to Live plan. I’m not having any cravings and have been 100% on plan for 14 days straight. And the results speak for themselves. I lost another 1.2 pounds this week! That’s a total of 13.2 pounds since the start of January and I also am down 2.5 inches in my waist! So awesome!

I intentionally fasted for 24 hours this week. Ate dinner Tuesday night and didn’t eat again until dinner on Wednesday. There were some times I felt hungry, but I drank some water and the feeling passed, as it was not true hunger. I kept telling myself that I was burning tons of fat and my body was healing itself. Then I unintentionally fasted for about 22 hours on Friday after I got busy and wasn’t hungry so I didn’t eat lunch and took the dog for a long walk instead.
Otherwise my food has been pretty routine. A smoothie for lunch around noon and a big salad and soup for dinner with fruit for dessert. I’ll be making the Best Ever Lentil soup for this week and pretty much following the same plan. Luckily we have no plans for the Super Bowl so I don’t have to deal with all the temptation of being at party with tons of SAD food!
I did find myself unusually tired on Monday and Tuesday, and I wasn’t very hungry, and was unable to eat all of my food. I tried to get some extra sleep and took a rest day on Wednesday from exercise and felt better. Sometimes it’s hard to get in all of the veggies on this plan, but I know the more greens and beans you can eat, the more the weight will fall off!
